Ingredients

6 Tomatoes

1 Onion

1 Chili

2 Cloves of garlic

1 Celery stalk

2 Oregano leaves

1 Cilantro bunch

2 Basil leaves

2 cups of Milk

4 cups of Water

1 pinch of Salt

1 pinch of Pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : The tomatoes, onion, chili, celery, oregano, cilantro, basil, and garlic were thoroughly washed.

Step 2 : Then, they were chopped into small pieces and sautéed until a thick sofrito was obtained.

Step 3 : Once ready, it was removed from the heat and allowed to cool.

Step 4 : At room temperature, the sofrito was blended or ground until a smooth mixture was achieved.

Step 5 : In a pot, the blended sofrito was cooked together with water, and milk was added while stirring constantly.

Step 6 : Brought to a boil for approximately five minutes.

Step 7 : During cooking, salt, pepper to taste, and fresh cilantro were added.

Step 8 : Once the mixture was ready, it was removed from heat and served hot.
