Ingredients

25 Spinach leaves

1 Tomato

1 Onion

2 cups of Milk

1 tablespoon of Butter

1 tablespoon of Wheat flour

2 tablespoons of Chopped cilantro

4 cups of Water

1 pinch of Salt

1 pinch of Pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare this delicious spinach cream, first wash the spinach leaves, tomato, onion, and cilantro thoroughly.

Step 2 : Then, finely chop all the ingredients.

Step 3 : In a pot, bring the water to a boil.

Step 4 : Once boiling, add the spinach, onion, and tomato.

Step 5 : Cook for five minutes, remove from heat, and let cool.

Step 6 : Once the preparation has cooled, blend or puree it.

Step 7 : Then, place the puree in the fire and add the butter, the sifted flour, and the salt.

Step 8 : If you choose to use milk, heat it and add it to the puree.

Step 9 : Let it boil for about five minutes, stirring constantly.

Step 10 : Add the salt, pepper, and cilantro while it continues boiling.

Step 11 : Finally, remove from heat and serve hot.

Step 12 : If you prefer, instead of spinach, you can use chard, turnip greens, and beet leaves.
