Honduran Style Tortilla Soup
Ingredients
7 cups of Chicken broth
10 Corn tortillas
2 Chiles
2 Avocados
½ cup of Cream
3 Lemons
3 Garlic cloves
3 Tomatoes
½ Onion
Oil
1 pinch of Pepper
1 pinch of Salt
Fresh cheese
Preparation
Step 1 : Peel the tomatoes, garlic, and onion, then sauté and blend with ¼ cup of chicken broth in a food processor.
Step 2 : In a large pot, heat the oil over low heat and add the tomato purée.
Step 3 : Allow to cook, stirring constantly until it thickens.
Step 4 : Then, add the remaining chicken broth and season to taste, bringing to a boil for about 15 minutes.
Step 5 : Cut the tortillas into long strips and fry them in a pan until golden.
Step 6 : Remove from the pan and place on absorbent paper to remove excess fat.
Step 7 : Cut the chiles and fry them, then add them along with the tortillas to each bowl with the soup.
Step 8 : You can add lemon, chili, avocado, rice, cheese, or any desired accompaniments to the tortilla soup.
