Ingredients

1 pound of Beef (cut into pieces)

2 Corn on the cob (sliced)

2 Carrots (peeled and sliced)

1 Medium onion (chopped)

2 Garlic cloves (chopped)

1 Large chayote (peeled and chopped into cubes)

2 cups of Cabbage (cut into strips)

2 Green plantains (peeled and chopped into cubes)

3 cups of Chicken broth

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons of Cooking oil

Preparation

Step 1 : In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat and sauté the onion and garlic until golden.

Step 2 : Then add the beef and cook until lightly browned.

Step 3 : Next, add the chicken broth, corn, carrots, chayote, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 4 : Let it cook over medium heat for 20 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.

Step 5 : Subsequently, add the cabbage and green plantains, and continue cooking for about 10 more minutes or until everything is well cooked.

Step 6 : Taste and adjust seasonings if needed, then serve the soup hot.
