Ingredients

500 grams of Red beans

1 Large onion, chopped

2 Garlic cloves, chopped

2 Carrots, sliced

200 grams of Bacon, chopped

2 liters of Chicken broth

1 Red chili, chopped

2 Bay leaves

Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare the Honduran bean soup, first fry the bacon in a large pot until golden.

Step 2 : Then, add the onion, garlic, carrots, and red chili, cooking until the vegetables are tender.

Step 3 : Next, add the beans, chicken broth, bay leaves, salt, and pepper, and cook over low heat for 30 minutes.

Step 4 : Once cooking time has elapsed, remove the bay leaves and mash some of the beans to achieve a thicker consistency.

Step 5 : It is recommended to check the seasoning before serving the hot soup.
