Fish Soup

This exquisite fish soup is very common and traditional in the coastal areas of Honduras, as these are the regions where seafood and marine animals are most abundant.

Its seasoning and flavor are unmatched and irresistible. Easily prepare it at home.

Ingredients

1 ½ pound of Small pieces of fish

2 tablespoons of Olive oil

Juice of one lemon

2 Sliced garlic cloves

1 Large carrot

1 cup of Potatoes

1 cup of Squash

½ Gallon of water

2 Sprigs of cilantro

1 pinch of Salt

Preparation

Step 1 : In a deep pot, mix half of the fish, the oil, the garlic, lemon juice, and half of the squash.

Step 2 : Cook this mixture until the squash and fish break apart, which will take approximately 30 minutes.

Step 3 : Then, remove the pot from the heat, strain the mixture, and dissolve the squash in the resulting liquid.

Step 4 : Next, cook the carrots, potatoes, cilantro, and remaining squash in the pot until tender.

Step 5 : Then, add the remaining fish and continue cooking for another 15 minutes.

Step 6 : It is recommended to adjust the seasoning to taste and thus have the delicious Honduran fish soup ready to enjoy.
