Capirota Soup
Ingredients
½ pound of Tortilla dough
½ pound of Shredded dry white cheese
1 Egg
½ cup of Oil
Salt and pepper
1 liter of Water
1 teaspoon of Oil
1 Chopped onion into small cubes
⅓ teaspoon of Achiote
1 Cilantro leaf
1 Chopped tomato into small cubes
1 Chopped green pepper into small cubes
¼ teaspoon of Spicy chili sauce
1 Chopped garlic clove into small cubes
1 pinch of Pepper
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare these delicious fried Capirota with spicy sauce, start by mixing the tortilla dough with shredded cheese, salt, pepper, and egg, kneading until you get a smooth and flexible dough.
Step 2 : Next, form small balls of the desired size with the dough and fry in hot oil until golden, then set aside.
Step 3 : In another skillet, heat oil and add achiote, tomato, onion, chili, garlic, cilantro, green pepper, spicy chili sauce, salt, and pepper to taste, then sauté the ingredients.
Step 4 : Once they are well sautéed and seasoned, add water and cook for about 5 minutes.
Step 5 : Then, add the fried dough balls to the sauce, let it boil for another 5 minutes, and voilà!
