Stewed Fish

Fried, baked, grilled fish is always an excellent option; however, Honduran stewed fish will take you to another level of culinary sensations.

The history of this dish dates back to old family recipes, where each ingredient was carefully selected to highlight the natural flavors of fresh fish.

Ingredients

1 pound of Fish

1 cup of Coconut milk

½ Chopped green chili

1 Ripe tomato sliced

Salt and pepper

1 pinch of Pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : First, clean the fish and make three diagonal cuts on each side.

Step 2 : In a skillet, add the coconut milk and bring to a boil; once boiling, remove from heat and place the fish in it, letting it rest for about 5 minutes.

Step 3 : Next, add the chili, tomato, salt, and pepper to taste over the fish and let it rest for about 15 minutes.

Step 4 : Then, cook on low heat for 15 minutes, turn the fish over, and cook for another 15 minutes.

Step 5 : Once this time has passed, the dish will be ready to enjoy.
