Guacho

Guacho is a traditional Honduran dish, a mix of flavors and textures that will delight your palate.

Slow-cooked pork ribs with beans, rice, soy sauce, and cilantro, accompanied by a sauté of onion, tomato, and yellow butter, create a delicious combination.

Ingredients

1 pound of Cooked beans

2 pounds of Pork ribs

½ cup of Pineapple juice

2 tablespoons of Chopped cilantro

2 tablespoons of Soy sauce

3 Crushed garlic cloves

½ cup of Chopped morrón chili

1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce

1 cup of Chopped onion

4 cups of Chicken broth

½ pound of White rice

¼ cup of Parmesan cheese

2 cups of Chopped onion

2 cups of Chopped tomato

3 tablespoons of Yellow butter

3 tablespoons of Tomato paste

Preparation

Step 1 : Start by cooking the beans with the pork ribs, adding onion, morrón chili, garlic, cilantro, chicken broth, pineapple juice, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce, and let it cook for 45 minutes.

Step 2 : Then, add the rice, making sure it is covered with liquid; if not, add more liquid and cook covered on low heat for an additional 30 minutes.

Step 3 : Meanwhile, sauté the onion and tomato in yellow butter until softened.

Step 4 : Next, add the tomato paste and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.

Step 5 : When serving, place the sauté on top of the Guacho and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
