Guacho is a typical Honduran dish, a blend of flavors and textures that will delight your palate.
Slowly cooked pork ribs with beans, rice, soy sauce, and cilantro, accompanied by a sautéed mixture of onion, tomato, and yellow butter, is a delicious combination.
Guacho
Ingredients
1 pound of Cooked beans
2 pounds of Pork ribs
½ cup of Pineapple juice
2 tablespoons of Chopped cilantro
2 tablespoons of Soy sauce
3 Crushed garlic cloves
½ cup of Chopped morrón pepper
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 cup of Chopped onion
4 cups of Chicken broth
½ pound of White rice
¼ cup of Parmesan cheese
2 cups of Chopped onion
2 cups of Chopped tomato
3 tablespoons of Yellow butter
3 tablespoons of Tomato paste
Preparation
Step 1 : Begin cooking the beans with the pork ribs, adding onion, morrón pepper, garlic, cilantro, chicken broth, pineapple juice, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and cooking for 45 minutes.
Step 2 : Then, add the rice making sure it is covered with liquid; if not, add more liquid and cook covered over low heat for an additional 30 minutes.
Step 3 : In parallel, sauté the onion and tomato in Yellow Butter, cooking until they soften.
Step 4 : Subsequently, add the tomato paste and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
Step 5 : When serving, place the sautéed mixture over the Guacho and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
