Fried Fish with Plantain Slices

Ingredients

4 Whole fish cleaned without scales

1 tablespoon of Chicken broth

1 pinch of Salt

1 teaspoon of Ground thyme

1 teaspoon of Ground oregano

1 pinch of Pepper

1 cup of Flour

2 Lard bars

Lemon slices

3 Peeled green plantains

Oil for frying

Preparation

Step 1 : The fish is seasoned with salt, thyme, oregano, pepper to taste, and chicken broth.

Step 2 : Then, it is dipped in flour, making sure to coat all sides, and the process is repeated with each piece.

Step 3 : In a pan with hot lard over medium heat, fry the fish until golden on both sides.

Step 4 : To prepare the plantain slices, peel the plantains and cut them into half-centimeter thick slices, then fry in hot oil for 3 minutes on each side.

Step 5 : Place the fried plantain slices on paper towels to remove excess oil.

Step 6 : Serve the fried fish accompanied by plantain slices, rice and beans, salad, and lemon.
