Ingredients

2 pounds of Fish fillets

4 Fresh parsley sprigs

1 teaspoon of Onion powder

1 teaspoon of Garlic powder

1 pound of Potatoes

1 pinch of Salt

Cooking oil

1 pinch of Pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : Finely chop the parsley, remove the peel from the potatoes, and wash them.

Step 2 : Add the potatoes to a pot with enough water and bring to a boil for 25 minutes.

Step 3 : Once the potatoes are soft, remove and mash them with a masher, then let them rest in a container.

Step 4 : Place water in another pot to boil and add the fish fillets until fully covered.

Step 5 : After boiling for 5 minutes, remove and drain.

Step 6 : Shred the fish and add it to the mashed potatoes, along with the garlic and onion powders.

Step 7 : Add salt and pepper to taste, and mix thoroughly until reaching a firm consistency.

Step 8 : Start forming the cakes, taking a portion of the mixture and shaping it into a ball.

Step 9 : Repeat the process with the remaining mixture.

Step 10 : Place each ball between plastic wrap to prevent sticking and flatten to the desired thickness.

Step 11 : Brown the cakes in a skillet for a few minutes, turning them to brown both sides.

Step 12 : Once ready, remove, serve, and enjoy these delicious Honduran-style fish cakes.
