Beef with Green Plantains

A very tasty traditional dish that is commonly prepared at home for lunch due to its high nutritional value.

Beef with Green Plantains

Ingredients

1 kilogram of Beef

6 Green medium plantains

1 Medium white onion

0.5 kilogram of Yuca (cassava)

1 pinch of Salt

2 Bouillon cubes

3 Garlic cloves

1 Ripe plantain

1 Medium sweet chili pepper

1 Cilantro bunch

2 Dehydrated spice cubes

1 Lemon

3 tablespoons of Olive oil

1 cup of Broth

1 cup of Rice

2 Tomatoes

2 liters of Water

Preparation

Step 1 : In a bowl, place the beef and squeeze lemon juice over it.

Step 2 : Cut the beef into pieces.

Step 3 : Finely chop the onion, tomato, chili, and garlic cloves and set aside.

Step 4 : In a pre-oiled pot, add the onion, tomato, chili, and garlic.

Step 5 : Sauté with oil.

Step 6 : Add the chopped plantains, yuca, and ripe plantain.

Step 7 : Add 2 liters of water and cook over low heat.

Step 8 : Add the seasonings, bouillon cubes, spices, broth, and mix for 10 minutes.

Step 9 : Add the rice and cook for approximately 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 10 : Check that everything is cooked and adjust the seasoning if necessary.

Step 11 : Chop the cilantro and sprinkle over the meat.

Step 12 : Turn off the heat and let cool.

Step 13 : Serve hot.
