Ingredients
1 Medium pumpkin
1 Rapadura sugar
2 Cinnamon sticks
5 Whole peppercorns
2 cups of Water
Preparation
Step 1 : The pumpkin is washed with water, removing all seeds.
Step 2 : Then it is cut into large chunks.
Step 3 : In a clean pot, place the pumpkin pieces together with the cinnamon, pepper, and rapadura sugar.
Step 4 : Bring to a gentle boil and cook for about 1 hour until the syrup reaches the right consistency.
Step 5 : Cover the pot and let it cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Step 6 : Afterwards, check the tenderness of the pumpkin with a fork and remove from heat.
