Orange Tartlet
Ingredients
4 cups of Bakery flour
½ teaspoon of Salt
2 tablespoons of Powdered sugar
6 tablespoons of Yellow butter
2 Eggs
4 tablespoons of Olive oil
1 cup of Warm water
1 cup of Whole milk
1 cup of Vanilla malt drink
2 tablespoons of Cornstarch
½ cup of Sugar
1 pinch of Salt
4 Egg yolks
2 Beaten eggs
4 Oranges
Preparation
Step 1 : In a bowl, place the flour, salt, powdered sugar, and yellow butter.
Step 2 : Mix everything to combine.
Step 3 : Then add the eggs, olive oil, and warm water, and mix until a smooth dough forms.
Step 4 : Refrigerate this dough.
Step 5 : To prepare the pastry cream, mix the vanilla malt drink with the cornstarch.
Step 6 : Add the whole milk, sugar, and egg yolks.
Step 7 : Cook this mixture until it thickens.
Step 8 : Then refrigerate.
Step 9 : Roll out the dough on a tray, pour the pastry cream over the rolled dough, and place orange slices on top.
Step 10 : Bake the tart at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes.
Step 11 : Finally, serve.
