Ingredients

2 Bread for French toast

2 liters of Whole milk

4 Eggs

2 Sweet rapadura

Cinnamon sticks

Raisins

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare the French toast in milk in true Honduran style, start by cutting the bread into slices not too thin.

Step 2 : Next, beat the egg whites until they reach the desired consistency and mix them with the yolk.

Step 3 : Then, heat a skillet with enough oil over medium heat and dip the bread slices into milk, then pass them through the egg mixture.

Step 4 : Place the dipped bread slices into the hot skillet and fry for a few minutes until golden.

Step 5 : Meanwhile, in a deep saucepan with water, boil the rapadura with cinnamon sticks to make the honey.

Step 6 : Once the honey is ready, strain it to remove impurities and add the cooked bread slices.

Step 7 : Let it simmer over low heat until fully soaked, but without falling apart.

Step 8 : If desired, drizzle a little honey over the French toasts without boiling them.
