Chilate de maíz
Ingredients
1 ½ kilogram of White corn
1 teaspoon of White pepper
1 teaspoon of Ground cloves
1 teaspoon of Ginger
2 liters of Water
½ kilogram of Sugar
1 pinch of Salt
Preparation
Step 1 : It is recommended to toast, boil, and cook the corn with water until tender.
Step 2 : The mixture should be washed, ground, and seasoned with salt to taste.
Step 3 : Then, transfer to a pot and cook over low heat along with the sugar and spices, stirring constantly.
Step 4 : Let it boil for approximately 20 minutes until it reaches a thick consistency.
Step 5 : Finally, strain the preparation and serve either cold or hot, according to the consumer's preference.
