It is considered one of the typical Central American beverages originating from Honduras. Its preparation usually takes place in rural areas near the western part of the country, and its recipe is very quick and simple.
Traditional Corn Refreshment
Ingredients
½ pound of Toasted walcaparu corn
2 Cinnamon sticks
3 Cloves
10 cups of Water
Preparation
Step 1 : In a clean pot, place the corn, cinnamon, and cloves in hot water and cook for at least half an hour.
Step 2 : Once cooked, transfer to an earthenware vessel and let ferment for 3 days.
Step 3 : Then, sweeten to taste, and thus obtain a delicious Cochabamba-style corn refreshment.
