The Honduran sweet atol has its roots in the pre-Columbian era, traditionally made from corn kernels. It can be prepared with milk instead of water, and it is best served and enjoyed hot.

Ingredients
10 Corn cobs
1 ½ liter of Water
1 teaspoon of Sugar
1 teaspoon of Salt
Cinnamon
Sugar
Preparation
Step 1 : In a pot, add water, sugar, and cinnamon to taste.
Step 2 : Boil the corn cobs until the kernels are tender.
Step 3 : Then remove from heat and let it rest until cooled.
Step 4 : Afterward, de-kernel the corn cobs.
Step 5 : Next, add the corn kernels to a blender and blend as finely as possible.
Step 6 : In another pot, add the blended corn, 1.5 liters of water, sugar, and cinnamon to taste.
Step 7 : Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture is thick and well-cooked.
Step 8 : Serve hot.
