Pomegranate or granadilla is a fruit rich in vitamins such as A, B, and C, B5, and contains plenty of fiber. It is also well known for helping against cancer and is detoxifying among many other benefits that this fruit provides us. This fruit grows in many households of Hondurans, which is why pomegranate juice is one of my favorite recipes.
Pomegranate Juice
Ingredients
3 Medium-sized pomegranates
2 liters of Water
Sugar to taste
1 pinch of Salt
1 tablespoon of Vanilla essence
Ice cubes
2 cups of Milk
½ cup of Evaporated milk
1 teaspoon of Honey
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare the pomegranate juice, start by washing the pomegranates and cutting them in half.
Step 2 : Then, place the pomegranates in the blender jar and add 4 cups of water.
Step 3 : Add sugar to taste, along with the cup of milk and the half cup of evaporated milk.
Step 4 : Next, blend the mixture for approximately 8 minutes.
Step 5 : If you want the juice to be cold, you can add a couple of ice cubes and blend them along with the mixture.
Step 6 : Then, pour all the contents of the blender into a plastic or glass container and add the remaining water.
Step 7 : Add the teaspoon of honey, vanilla essence, and a pinch of salt.
Step 8 : Finally, mix everything very well and voilà! You can now enjoy a delicious pomegranate juice in the most authentic Honduran style.
