A delicious and very common traditional Honduran beverage served in different regions of Honduras.
Chiricaya is a traditional Honduran drink with origins dating back to pre-Columbian times, when indigenous people used local ingredients to prepare it.

Ingredients
1 liter of Milk
½ teaspoon of Nutmeg
1 teaspoon of Cinnamon
100 grams of Sugar
3 Eggs
2 tablespoons of Red wine
1 tablespoon of Vanilla
Preparation
Step 1 : In a pot, add the milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, and sugar.
Step 2 : Bring to a boil and then strain into another container to let it rest and cool.
Step 3 : Once cooled, add the red wine, vanilla, and well-beaten eggs, mixing well to achieve a good consistency.
Step 4 : Pour the mixture into individual molds or clay containers and cook in a water bath at 175°C (347°F) for about 45 minutes until set.
Step 5 : To caramelize, add sugar and broil or brown for about 10 more minutes.
Step 6 : Finally, let it cool and serve.
