¼ pound of Sugar
¼ Honey
1 Egg white
½ pound of Ground almonds
1 teaspoon of Lemon zest
1 pinch of Cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1 : In a hot skillet, combine honey and sugar over medium heat until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
Step 2 : Then, add the beaten egg white and mix slowly until thickened and color changes.
Step 3 : Subsequently, incorporate the lemon zest, cinnamon, and ground almonds, and stir well.
Step 4 : Pour the resulting mixture into a lined mold, press down, and let rest for 5 hours.
Step 5 : Finally, enjoy authentic Honduran-style turrones.
