Ingredients

6 Ripe plantains

3 Cinnamon sticks

3 cups of Water

1 pinch of Salt

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare plantains in glory, wash and peel the ripe plantains, then cut them into long slices approximately 2 centimeters thick, according to personal preference.

Step 2 : In a deep pot, without using oil, add sugar over low heat and let it caramelize until it reaches a light golden color.

Step 3 : Once the sugar has achieved the desired consistency, gradually add water and bring to a boil for a few minutes.

Step 4 : Then, add the plantain slices to the mixture, along with a pinch of salt and the cinnamon sticks.

Step 5 : Let it boil without allowing the honey and sugar to be completely consumed.

Step 6 : If the mixture becomes too thick, you can adjust by adding more water.

Step 7 : Once the plantains are cooked to your liking, remove the pot from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

Step 8 : The honey should have a thick consistency, caramel color, and an intense cinnamon flavor.
