Pastelitos
Ingredients
2 cups of Uncooked yellow corn
1 pound of Ground beef
1 Chopped white onion
1 Chopped green chili
1 teaspoon of Cumin
1 teaspoon of Powdered garlic
½ cup of Water
Corn masa for tamales
1 pinch of Salt
1 pinch of Pepper
Preparation
Step 1 : In a large skillet, sauté the onion and green chili until they are soft.
Step 2 : Then, add the ground beef and cook until browned.
Step 3 : Next, add cumin, powdered garlic, salt, and pepper, mixing all ingredients well.
Step 4 : The next step is to add the water and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
Step 5 : Meanwhile, spread the corn masa on corn leaves and place a portion of the meat mixture on each.
Step 6 : Then, fold the corn leaves to form a package and steam for 30 minutes.
