Homemade Banana Bread
Ingredients
2 cups of All-purpose flour
4 Ripe bananas
½ cup of Rapadura sugar or cane sugar (you can omit this ingredient, as bananas provide their natural sweetness)
127 milliliters of Vegetable or olive oil (not extra virgin) or butter
2 Eggs
1 teaspoon of Vanilla extract
½ teaspoon of Baking soda
2½ teaspoons of Baking powder
Salt (1/8 teaspoon)
¼ teaspoon of Ground cinnamon
Butter or margarine
Preparation
Step 1 : Preheat the oven to 180°C for 10 minutes.
Step 2 : Then, mashing the bananas in a large bowl and adding the rapadura sugar, mixing with a whisk.
Step 3 : Add the eggs, vanilla, and vegetable, olive, or butter, mixing well all ingredients.
Step 4 : Measure 2 cups of flour and add the baking soda, baking powder, pinch of salt, and ground cinnamon, mixing the ingredients.
Step 5 : Next, add the flour passing it through a sieve into the banana mixture, combining the ingredients well.
Step 6 : Optionally, add nuts, peanuts, or chocolate chips, sprinkling them before adding to the mixture.
Step 7 : Grease the bread mold with butter and pour the mixture, distributing it evenly.
Step 8 : Place the bread mold in the oven and bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
Step 9 : After this time, perform the toothpick or knife test to check if it’s done.
Step 10 : Once ready, remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
Step 11 : Finally, remove the bread from the mold and serve.
