Christmas Yule Log
Ingredients
⅓ cup of Cornstarch
½ cup of Whole milk
2 Egg yolks
1½ cup of Rum
¾ cup of Granulated sugar
¼ teaspoon of Salt
½ teaspoon of Lemon zest
1 Cinnamon stick
1 cup of Chocolate
1 cup of Sweet cream
½ cup of Icing sugar
1 cup of Flour
½ teaspoon of Salt
3 Eggs
½ cup of Granulated sugar
½ teaspoon of Lemon zest
1 Yellow butter bar

Preparation
Step 1 : In a saucepan, dissolve the cornstarch in the whole milk and add the egg yolks, rum, sugar, salt, lemon zest, and cinnamon.
Step 2 : Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Step 3 : Prepare the chocolate ganache by melting the chocolate and sweet cream together in a double boiler, mixing until smooth.
Step 4 : For the sponge cake, preheat the oven and beat the eggs until stiff peaks form.
Step 5 : Gradually add the sugar and lemon zest.
Step 6 : Incorporate the flour, salt, and yellow butter, then bake for 10 minutes.
Step 7 : Sprinkle icing sugar over the cake, spread with the rum-flavored cream, roll up, cover with chocolate ganache, and decorate with mint and cherries.
