Yuca fritters are the perfect side dish for your meals, but you can also enjoy them as a snack or even during dinner.
Tortitas de Yuca
Ingredients
1 pound of Yuca in pieces
¼ cup of Chopped onion
2 Eggs
100 grams of Grated white cheese
Oil for frying
1 pinch of Salt
1 pinch of Pepper
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare these delicious yuca fritters, start by removing the skin from the yuca and washing it carefully.
Step 2 : Then, cook it in salted water for 40 minutes, drain, remove the fibers, and let it cool.
Step 3 : Once the yuca is ready, mash it to make a puree and mix with onion, eggs, and grated cheese until you get a smooth dough.
Step 4 : Next, form small patties with the dough and fry them in hot oil until golden on both sides.
Step 5 : Once cooked, remove the fritters and let them drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Step 6 : They can be served hot and accompanied by sour cream or ketchup.
