Baked potatoes, best known as panapas in many regions of Honduras, are a practical and delicious typical dish highly enjoyed for their simplicity and the availability of the main ingredient (potatoes) for their preparation.
Over the years, these delicious potatoes have acquired a special meaning for Hondurans, who enjoy them on various occasions and celebrations.

Ingredients
4 Medium potatoes
250 grams of Melted butter or margarine
1 teaspoon of Olive oil
1 pinch of Salt
1 pinch of Pepper
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare the roasted potatoes, preheat the oven to 200°C.
Step 2 : Then, wash the potatoes and cut them into 4 parts or slightly smaller pieces.
Step 3 : In a large bowl, mix the potatoes with the margarine, olive oil, and salt.
Step 4 : Place a skillet inside the oven to heat.
Step 5 : It is recommended to use a cast iron handle skillet, as it is the most suitable for this recipe.
Step 6 : Once the skillet is very hot, add the potatoes and cook for 20 minutes.
Step 7 : Then, remove the skillet from the oven and stir the potatoes.
Step 8 : Continue baking for another 20 to 25 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden to your liking.
Step 9 : Finally, remove the potatoes from the oven and serve alongside white rice.
