Meat Empanaditas
Ingredients
20 Small ready-made dough rounds
1 tablespoon of Olive oil
½ cup of Chopped onion
2 Finely chopped garlic cloves
¼ cup of Finely chopped bell pepper
5 Finely chopped smoked ham slices
1 pound of Ground beef
3 tablespoons of Tomato sauce
¼ cup of Chopped fresh cilantro
1 pinch of Salt
Frying oil
Dressing
1 pinch of Pepper
Preparation
Step 1 : In a skillet, sauté the onion, garlic, and bell pepper over medium heat for 3 minutes.
Step 2 : Then, add the beef and smoked ham, mix everything, and season with salt and pepper.
Step 3 : Let cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
Step 4 : Add the tomato sauce and cilantro, mix well, and cook for another 5 minutes or until the liquid has reduced.
Step 5 : Next, place the dough rounds on a clean surface and add a portion of the filling to each.
Step 6 : Fold them into a half-moon shape and seal the edges with a fork.
Step 7 : Once all the empanaditas are assembled, heat a skillet with plenty of oil and fry the empanaditas until golden.
Step 8 : Remove from heat and place on absorbent paper.
Step 9 : Finally, serve the empanaditas and enjoy with family and friends.
