Ingredients

2 ½ cups of Wheat flour

½ Lard

Smoked ham

Cheddar or cheese curd

2 teaspoons of Baking soda

90 milliliters of Lukewarm milk

50 grams of Oil

1 Egg

1 pinch of Salt

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare the dough, add part of the wheat flour to a bowl, then add lard, baking soda, egg, and salt.

Step 2 : Knead while pouring in lukewarm milk.

Step 3 : Continue kneading and adding flour until achieving a flexible consistency.

Step 4 : Make small balls with the dough and let them rest for 5 minutes, covering them with a cloth.

Step 5 : Then, cut the ham and cheese into strips.

Step 6 : On a previously oiled plate, place the dough ball and proceed to make the tortilla.

Step 7 : Once done, add ham and cheese and fry in a preheated pan.

Step 8 : Finally, serve with salsa or chismol.
