Chicken Croquettes

Ingredients

1 Large cooked chicken breast

1 tablespoon of Chicken consomme

1 teaspoon of Ground garlic

1 pinch of Salt

1 pinch of Pepper

pound of Margarine

pound of Wheat flour

½ liter of Milk

1 pinch of Grated nutmeg

2 Eggs

2 cups of Breadcrumbs

Cooking oil

Preparation

Step 1 : Boil the chicken breast, let it cool, and then shred it.

Step 2 : Next, place it in a glass dish and add the chicken consomme along with the garlic.

Step 3 : In a skillet over medium heat, melt the margarine and add the wheat flour, mixing until a uniform dough forms.

Step 4 : Gradually add the milk while stirring continuously to dilute the mixture; season to taste with salt and pepper, add the grated nutmeg, and cook until a thick cream forms.

Step 5 : Remove from heat and mix with the shredded chicken. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Step 6 : After this time, beat the eggs in a bowl, place the breadcrumbs in another dish, and remove the chicken from the fridge.

Step 7 : Take small portions of the mixture with a spoon, shape them into cylinders, and coat first in beaten eggs and then in breadcrumbs.

Step 8 : Place each croquette on a plate and repeat the process until all the mixture is used.

Step 9 : Heat ample oil in a skillet and fry the croquettes until golden brown.

Step 10 : Finally, remove and place on absorbent paper.
