Ingredients

¼ cup of Flour

¼ Yellow butter stick

Water

2 tablespoons of Olive oil

5 Garlic cloves

¾ cup of Red onion

1 ½ cup of Semi-skimmed milk

1 pinch of Sea salt

4 cups of Chopped spinach

2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese

1 Aged edam cheese wheel

1 pound of Smoked bacon

4 Fresh jalapeños

4 tablespoons of Panko breadcrumbs

¼ teaspoon of Red pepper flakes

Preparation

Step 1 : In a pot, melt the butter and add the flour, letting it brown for 10 minutes.

Step 2 : Then, add the oil, garlic, and chopped onion, sautéing for 1-2 minutes.

Step 3 : Once golden, remove from heat and let cool.

Step 4 : In a blender, puree the spinach, bacon, and jalapeños, along with some of the sautéed vegetables and milk.

Step 5 : Season with salt and pepper, mixing until creamy.

Step 6 : In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the remaining vegetables and then add the spinach and cheese mixture, stirring well.

Step 7 : Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, panko, and red pepper flakes.

Step 8 : Finally, bake the mixture for 5-8 minutes until golden.
