The gastronomy of Atlántida, thanks to its agricultural development, offers a variety of exquisite dishes based on meats, fish, and seafood.

All accompanied by vegetables, rice, beans, eggs, sausages, and dairy products.

One of the most popular traditional dishes from Atlántida are the famous baleadas originating from La Ceiba. These are flour tortillas filled with fried beans and grated cheese.

Also very popular is the tatau, a coconut soup with a variety of tubers and seafood; and cazabe, large yuca tortillas baked.

Throughout Atlántida, meals are often served with bananas, cooked cassava, or sliced fried plantains.

Among beverages, noteworthy are hin, a kind of beer made with cassava; and mermara, a drink based on fermented corn.
